Description
Intermediate Supportability Test and Evaluation (IST&E) is a two-day course building off CLL 003, Logistics Test and Evaluation. The target audience is anyone wanting an understanding of the areas and methods covered by IST&E; primarily assistant program managers for logistics (APMLs) performance and R&M T&E personnel. Branches. IST&E is also used as an introductory course for NAVAIR interns contemplating their next rotation as the ST&E Branch is particularly attractive due to its direct interface with aircraft and field personnel. This course emphasizes the need for ST&E and an overview of the methods used by supportability testers.
Objectives
  • Relate key tenets of ST&E to planning and executing an acquisition program.
  • Identify the aids and barriers to successful ST&E implementation.
  • Identify the different supervisory roles involved in the ST&E environment.
  • Describe how ST&E impacts the effectiveness of and maintenance personnel.
  • Identify the behaviors and characteristics of ST&E evaluation.
  • Derive the supportability test requirement from the Availability KPP.
  • Recognize the General ST&E Objective and the Specific ST&E Objectives.
  • Utilize the general terms and documents used in the T&E community.

    Intermediate Supportability Test and Evaluation is suitable for DAWIA Level III logisticians assigned to NAVAIR Supportability Test and Evaluation billets.
